Hundred
Swords grabs a smashing 8,
9, 8 in the reviews section of the latest DC magazine and Macross
M3 (due this week) lags behind with a 6, 7, 7. The
upside to M3's mediocrity is that they're the best scores for
any 32-bit Macross game thus far. Flipping further, the pages
reveal a Valentine's Day reminder for the lovers out there,
comments from Sega's premier studios (AM2, UGA, etc), and an
in-depth look at Sakura Taisen 3 with new screenshots of the
girls in action. The new Love Hina game, due on March 29,
looks good and Capcom's Naomi/DC Gundam game reveals some more
of it's 3-D missions and action scenes. A new mature anime
interaction subtitled "The Virgin on Meggido" brings
lascivious images and themes to the DC, courtesy of publisher
Kobi Co. Gratuitous bosom shots abound.
Sega showcases Air Trix in the special Hitmaker
focus and Planet Harriers coverage continues in this
issue with screens of the hero in action, blazing across exotic
worlds. |

Super Real Mahjong Premium Collection |
Sexy |
Seta
sees stripping in the future of the Neo Geo Pocket. Not just
any wizened flophouse stripper will do however, Seta's brand
of workmanship focuses on regular anime lasses far removed
from any professional circuit. The action involves attractive
girls culled from Super Real Mahjong P5 ~ Paradise, P6, and
P7. P5's Aya Fujiwara battles for the sake of her blouse,
Tamami Kayama makes the cut from P6 (One of the few shocking
red "X18" games released on the Saturn and the only
one where milking a cow was a mini-game) and the Asahina
sisters from P7 bewitch mahjong mavens once more. Another
three "Real" girls round out the latest calling from
Seta.
SNK's promotion for the SRM Premium Collection
includes a set of fanbooks, included with each game package
which detail selected girls in the game. Pricing is set at
Y4250 (roughly US$50) and the game is expected to arrive on
March 29. Pre-orders are welcome by e-mail request. |

Fantasy
girls on virtual screens were the rage during the ancient era
of 8-bit computers. By that time, the graphics were
"decent" enough to relay a functional image of a
bare breasted woman for the (mostly male) masses to ponder. In
the United States today, video game software geared towards
the mature market is pretty much non-existent. Working towards
a specific goal is counterintuitive and time consuming when
instant gratification through other, uh, mediums such as video
involves no work and scant brainpower.

Deep Blue Shell |

Colors
change moods. Splash dark gray against a wall and the gloom is
palpable enough to conjure up storm clouds of the mind. Turn
around and blanket whitewash on the same wall and the room
literally brightens up. A white wedding dress signifies purity
- real or imagined, and a crisp white shirt is sharper
than a crisp brown shirt. Red is an arousal color, apparent in
it's ability to affect both bulls and humans. The bovines
charge when red capes are waved and law enforcement officers
charge when a cherry red sports car weaves a little too
waywardly from the monotony of traffic. A red rose has the
potential to quicken a spinster's heart but sap red's strength
and you're left with pink, a shade capable of rendering any he-man
slightly less masculine.
Color perception across cultures is surprisingly
congruent as well. Looking at extreme polarities, white is a
symbol of purity whereas black is generally thought of as an
ill omen. In Middle Eastern countries, the color blue is
viewed as a protective color, used to ward off harmful
spirits. Native American Indians in the southwest also used
blue to glance away evil spirits.
The Dreamcast is naturally white. The Playstation
is naturally gray. Two simple colors which may or may not make
any of the statements mentioned earlier. Although there is no
guarantee that a blue shell from NCS will drive away malicious
spirits, perhaps you'll find solace in the cool
factor. |
