Densha de Go! 2, Anti-mod update, Dreamcast nirvana
   Imports
Densha de Go! 2 in stock
Taito's sequel to their first train simulation is in stock today. Densha de Go! 2 allows the player to become a virtual train conductor where you have to maintain speed, brake when needed and view some great scenery. It's a lot of fun but it's something that has to be experienced to get hooked. Taito has also manufactured a new train controller that is a multi-gear lever instead of the swivel that they produced for the original. The package includes a neat little timepiece that is hung by a 15" chain with clasp and features the Densha de Go logo on it's faceplate. The long arm of the watch has a little train boxcar attached to it. NCS only has the deluxe version of Densha de Go! 2 in stock today and it carries a hefty price at US$100.
Anti-Mod Update
Following yesterday's arrival of two new anti-mod protected games (Chocobo Racing and Umjammer), NCS would like to update the listing of imports that are anti-mod protected.
Playstation Import
I.Q. Final Trial Edition The anti-mod protection scheme is encoded on the software and detects the presence of a mod chip. The anti-mod attempts to stop the use of import games in territories that they were not intended for. In NCS' opinion, the anti-mod scheme benefits no one except the mod chip installers and Pro-Action Replay suppliers. Software reliant protection schemes are easily defeated.
Poporogue
Pocket Muu Muu
Final Fantasy VIII
Silent Hill
Global Force Sentoh Kokka
Chocobo Racing
Umjammer Lammy
House of the Dead 2 Closed
Pre-orders for House 2 + GUN are now closed. Sega is unable to supply large quantities of this title and we may be cut but we over-ordered what we needed so this affects none of our customers. We simply cannot accept any more new orders for the game + gun. The supplies of the Dreamcast Gun by itself are also miniscule and follows the poor supply situations seen with the S-Video cable, the VGA Box, and the Puru Puru pack. NCS may be unable to supply any extra DC guns on Monday and we are unsure as to when Sega will be able to reproduce it for mass consumption. NCS will be able to fulfill all pre-orders for the House of the Dead 2 game that is packed with a gun. We simply won't be able to supply any extra DC guns for 2 players.
Gamera Dream Battle
Sega's Gamera VMS will arrive on Monday, along with the DC game flood. The Gamera VMS include a mini game where you raise the monster turtle into a fighting machine. Sega will likely produce other special monster VMS units although we'd like to see a Dreamcast game disc containing various mini-games that have been released and perhaps some new ones. It would give Pocket Muu Muu a run for it's money. New pre-orders may be submitted today to ship next week.
Dreamcast Magazine
In addition to all of the DC gaming that we'll be inundated with on Monday, the GD-Rom preview issue of Dreamcast Magazine is scheduled to arrive. Orders for this magazine may be shipped with your parcel if you wish to include it. However, please confirm with us today and tomorrow so that we can update our schedules. The magazine is $15 and will include a preview disc for the Dreamcast.
   Everything Else
Order Confirmations Please
If you have pre-ordered Blue Stinger, House of the Dead 2, Marvel vs Capcom and/or Super Speed Racing and have not confirmed with NCS yet, please try to drop us a line by e-mail to let us know that it is okay to ship your order on Monday. If you have already notified us, you don't have to let us know again since we will have you as confirmed to ship. NCS will also e-mail customers who we have not heard from in the past week to let them know the status of their pre-orders. Please note that it is possible for NCS to ship DC Marvel vs Capcom on Saturday (tomorrow) if a certain shipment arrives on time but we are guaranteeing all dispatches on Monday. The reason why we have emphasized the word "if" in the sentence above is because the Saturday shipment is not guaranteed although it may arrive. It's called a conditional sentence.
Posters Update
NCS has been shipping posters all week but please note that our paperboard supplier has not restocked all of the tubes that we ordered from them yet. We are unable to ship the remaining posters until we restock the tubes but that should happen this afternoon. We apologize for the delays but we did not want to ship posters in poor quality tubes that would get crushed. NCS is not accepting new orders for posters at this time.
Yen Equilibrium 07:22AM
The dollar is in the doldrums at Y117.10 this morning. The downward moves over the past two days have not affected our current strategy and we are still buying long dollar contracts, shorting yen contracts and building our position. We have a good sized trade right now that will either be very impressive or it will crash and burn mightily. We have until April to test this trade so we'll stay on course and not flip. We need some official jawboning to move the markets in our favor and we should see it next week.
Lock-On
NCS will finalize all Dreamcast orders that are shipping next week over the coming weekend. If you must make changes, please try to submit them today. Roughly 1200+ invoices, shipping logs, tracking labels and packages will be processed over the weekend for efficient dispatch on Monday. It will disrupt our flow if last minute changes are made next week, so please update us today if you would like to request a change. NCS will also be able to get a good quantity of Marvel vs Capcom earlier than expected on Monday and we will process orders accordingly. There is no need to e-mail us instructions to ship your complete order on Monday if you have ordered House 2 or Stinger along with Marvel because we will update your order automatically to include it. Thanks.
Capital Markets 07:50AM
The market ramped up higher and faster than we expected on Thursday. We think it will run further but we'll keep in mind that today is a triple witching Friday that will exaggerate moves as players close out trades and plan their positions for next month and next quarter. The SPX as it stands now is at our sell point but we'd like to see if we can hit 1328 this afternoon. We will close out our longs at that level and wait for a pullback before opening long again. No conviction in shorting this raging bull. Yet. We may see some weakness but that may be the lure to get the bears to open their short positions and prime them for the slaughter.
