Wave Race engendered the sport of racing on water as opposed to asphalt roads and made a convincing case for the future of this new medium. Alas, five years after the pioneering work by Nintendo, Power Jet Racing joins it in a sparse field. Staid roads continue to rule in racing games and publishers are unwilling to take a chance on water. 
   PJW plays decent but Wave Race, despite it's age, is still the better game. Seat yourself on a water bike and chop through realistic looking water, perform a variety of moves ranging from flips, submersion attacks, and big air-spanning jumps. A total of 13 liquid courses await the cleaving thrust of your jet ski and exquisite backgrounds pepper the scenery with pleasing detail and stately charm.
