Claire and Chris Redfield are on a mission to stop the
Umbrella Corporations shenanigans for the last time. Capcom's
Perfect Version iteration of the Code Veronica game introduces
new events starring the Umbrella co-conspirator Wesker and
wraps up some loose ends that were not resolved in the
original Code Veronica. Wesker was impaled and supposedly
killed in the first Biohazard game by one of his own T-Virus
mutagenic creations.
The visual quality of the Perfect Version gets a
revamp and new scenes with Wesker and his role in the drama
are explored in great detail. Hidden in the original Code
Veronica, Wesker's Battle Game may be played as a default
option. Here, you choose a character from and match up against
a level and it's seated monster.

Love
interaction games eventually became a crowded field after the
success of Konami's ground-breaking Tokimeki Memorial.
Imitation, after all, is the sincerest form of flattery and an
easy way to generate profits. Sims and NEC, old hands at the
dating scene, collaborate in their latest simulation which
introduces six new girls to the cattle call. The maidens make
up a varied lot of femininity, from a young girl who dresses
in a frilly maid's outfit to a red-haired girl who looks like
she was reared in the Princess Maker line of games and became
overly pampered. Interactions with one girl or a group of them
take place over static screen photos littered with interactive
option, inside quaint town locales, and within the buzz of
modern malls with all the necessary areas for courtship and
budding love.

Wave Race
engendered the sport of racing on water as opposed to asphalt
roads and made a convincing case for the future of this new
medium. Alas, five years after the pioneering work by
Nintendo, Power Jet Racing joins it in a sparse field. Staid
roads continue to rule in racing games and publishers are
unwilling to take a chance on water.
PJW plays decent but Wave Race, despite it's age,
is still the better game. Seat yourself on a water bike and
chop through realistic looking water, perform a variety of
moves ranging from flips, submersion attacks, and big
air-spanning jumps. A total of 13 liquid courses await the
cleaving thrust of your jet ski and exquisite backgrounds
pepper the scenery with pleasing detail and stately
charm.

Soon after the story arc in Sakura Taisen 2, Oogami Ichirou
heads to Paris, France to set up a French contingent of the
Hanagumi fighting forces. Termed the Paris Teikoku Kagekidan,
the new girls dance at the theater "Les Chattes
Noir" to entertain the populace and also use it as their
secret headquarters and base of operations. Gran Ma directs
operations of both the theater and the Paris assault force
while Oogami and the Paris Kagekidan deliver defense and
drama. The adversaries who ignite the strife in Paris are
called "phantoms" and they attack with the power of
animals. Leon, a leonine beast drives a lion-shaped Steam Punk
and appears to lead the pack. Others in his contingent include
Shizo, a menacing rabbit and Piton, a serpentine lady fiend...

Taisen 3 LE Type A includes a beautiful music box which spouts
a melody when it's cover is opened. The left portion of the
music box top is labelled "Les Chattes Noires"
accompanied by the neon outline of a top hat tipping cat. The
right portion of the top reads "Paris, en fleur" and
four lines of musical notation follow. Inside the music box, a
silhouette of the Eiffel Tower rises against the gold patina.
The front of the music box is labeled with a oval seal reading
"Les Chattes Noires" with a gold cat silhouette in
the center. TO the left, a lounging cat and to the right, a
cat at attention towards something in the air above it. A
wind-up mechanism to the left of the Eiffel Tower powers the
unit's capacity for musical interludes.
Sega slashed allocations for this music box by
roughly 25% and NCS was unable to stock all that we wanted to
import. At this time, we are checking with multiple vendors
for additional stock but the popularity of this game makes our
hunt somewhat difficult. NCS will update accordingly if we are
able to supply additional units of this product.

Most
pre-orders with NCS for the Sakura Taisen 3 Limited Edition
went to the music box edition. Customers apparently put more
value and sentimental desire on the shoulders of the Sakura
Taisen 3 music box and neglected the Sakura 3 VMU.
Correspondence between NCS and many other vendors in Japan,
Europe, and the USA corroborated this demand in pre-orders
received. Ironically, all this music box pre-ordering made the
Type B VMU version of the Sakura 3 LE the rarer edition with a
smaller production than the music box version. As such, NCS is
unable to locate any units from the market at this time. As
mentioned earlier, the special inclusion in this box is a VMU
framed in gold while the interior portion of the VMU looks
like wood and is stained as such with wood markings and
striations. The top of the VMU is labeled "Les Chattes
Noires" in gold lettering. The back of the VMU follows
the design sensibilities of the front portion with wood decor
surrounded by a gold frame. Other than the outer color scheme,
this is a fully functional Dreamcast VMU with big collectible
value.

| Some shipments arrived today but not everything. NCS
apologizes for the delays but it appears that all
freight will arrive by tomorrow morning. The first batch of
pre-orders have already shipped on Tuesday and some more
pre-orders will be shipped today. NCS tries to
facilitate quick clearance of all import shipments into the
country but occasionally, when shipments are voluminous, we
encounter regulatory delays. Similar to yesterday's scenario,
NCS will contact you with an e-mail update if your order ships
this afternoon. Our hands are tied when delays occur but we
will try to resolve any regulatory issues by this afternoon.
