When someone joins Castle Park School's horror club, there are fringe benefits to membership. Watching horror movies after school's cool but when you go missing inside a death dealing amusement park, club president Eiko charges to the rescue. As Eiko, the player enters Illbleed with a couple of hours to kill, save a couple of friends, and earn a million dollars for surviving the experience. Initially, Eiko slaps her way through the game as a means of attacking aggressors but she'll soon find more formidable weapons to cleave her way through the meat market. The spray of blood in the game may offend some sensibilities. Every slap, kick, slice, and poke draws jets of mighty crimson spurts and chunky gore from ruptured veins and battered bodies. The aural ambience in the game sets up the mood with slash film sound bites and shrieking effects when Eiko gets startled or scared.
