Sega will release a limited edition Saturn console next week with a transparent case. Called the Cool Saturn, because of it's similiarity to the Cool Pad, owners of this Cool Console will be able to view the internals of the machine and check out the architecture of the insides, without opening it up. NCS should have inventory of the new Saturn in limited supply early next week at US$249. Each console will include an additional Cool pad and a three CD demo pack consisting of Machi Street, Sonic R and Shining Force III. Due to the limited edition and collectible nature of these consoles, NCS advises customers to refrain from requesting switch installations though we will gladly perform the modification service on a Cool Saturn if a customer truly wishes it. This Saturn is limited to 50,000 units in Japan and will likely be the last Saturn case variant we'll see. Pre-orders on hand will be confirmed but new orders are limited to quantity on hand when the stock arrives. - NCS Extrusion Button
With the demise of the Sega Saturn in the American marketplace, NCS has experienced a four-fold increase in orders for new Saturn releases and back-stock. In most cases, we have bumped up pre-order quantities for many new titles that are expected in the next couple of months. We have had some supply problems for recent titles such as Dragon Force II and Power Drift but we're rectifying the situation with additional quantities for future releases that we expect to go over well. Pre-orders are always welcome to help us gauge market demand. In other Saturn news, Bits Laboratory/ASCII, the publishers of Saturn Basic announced overnight that they will re-release their software package on June 25. The programming kit will include a connection cable for transferring data from your PC to the Saturn. The Yen price has been posted at Y12,800 and NCS expects the retail to range between US$119 and US$129. Please pre-order if you wish to reserve a kit.     NCS Extrusion Vibratto

VS Rocks, Paper, Scissors - -   Pre-orders for SATURN Vampire Saviour are now closed due to heavy amounts of orders received in the past couple of days. Restock is expected by next Monday or Tuesday however. As of today, it appears very likely that VS will be available tomorrow (Good Friday). This means that quite a number of customers will request Express Mail delivery for Saturday. With this in mind, we ask daily readers of the journal who have pre-ordered VS to send us an e-mail if you wish to have Express Mail dispatch. The rate for EMS is US$10.75 which guarantees overnight delivery to most States and counties. Of course, UPS and Fedex Saturday are also available but at a higher cost. One benefit that EMS offers is that even if the Postal Service cannot complete delivery by Saturday, they will most certainly deliver it by Sunday morning, so you still get to check it out over the weekend. NCS will prepare all shipping waybills and packages today for a quick and efficient Vampire operation tomorrow.
