| After months and months of absence from the Playstation market in Japan and America, Namco's fabled NeGcon pad returns in sheek black with blue buttons. A favorite of racing game fans who want analog driving control but have no need for foot pedals or a bulky wheel, the NeGcon offers tactile twist action in a handy, compact package. You'll fight the turns and barrel down the thru-ways of Rage Racer with consummate control with the NegCon as your "wheel". The initial shipment date has been posted for 04/29 at a retail of Y2980. NCS expects to price the controller at US$35. Pre-orders are now open for this new version of the NeGcon. | ![]() |

Meet Brave Fencer Musashiden, Square's next action hero who swings a mean pair of swords. Brave Fencer is an upcoming 3-D action-RPG with rendered worlds that rotate, focus-in, zoom-out and generally look attractive. The game's graphics may remind some of Baku Bomberman and Xenogears with beautifully rendered backgrounds and detailed environments. Square has not posted a finalized ship date for this game yet but NCS expects to see it sometime before June. More information and pictures will be posted in the next couple of weeks as NCS gleans additional tidbits from vendors and weekly preview discs. |
| Two new Playstation releases are expected to ship this week for delivery next Monday: Tail Concerto and Bomberman Wars. No other titles are expected though we'll receive a full schedule tonight from Japan. NCS will also have G Darius restock next Monday for all open orders that were not fulfilled last week. On the Saturn side, Vampire Saviour will be available in abundant supply for the rest of this quarter starting tomorrow. Our next major restock will arrive on Thursday and this time, we've increased the number of Vampire ram sets to cover customers who need the 4MB card. |

| NCS began shipping pre-orders of Metal Slug 2 on Monday. We are expecting two more shipments of Slug in the next couple of days, including one that arrived this morning. Everyone who has pre-ordered Metal Slug 2 is guaranteed a copy, including all of our resellers who have submitted reservations with regards to SNK of America's short supply last week. In other Neo-Geo news, Real Bout 2 has been confirmed for April 30. Please confirm any pre-orders in the next couple of days for delivery at the end of this month. A shipment of Neo-Geo King of Fighters '97 is slated for delivery in the next couple of days but we're still awaiting word on Shock Troopers (new) and Blazing Star (restock). Its almost impossible now to source new Neo-Geo cartridges after release due to the minimial production runs that SNK now puts together. One effect of this short production run is higher prices on the retail level and in some cases, the wholesale level. | ![]() |

| NCS consulted with EMS overnight on the Vampire Saviour/4-in-1 card incompatibility problem. There is now a fix to enable the card to work with Saviour, and still retain it's compatibility with Street Fighter vs X-Men. The only unfortunate thing about the fix is that it involves solder work inside the unit. NCS will clean up the fax schema that we received from EMS and post full instructions on how to perform the fix in tomorrow's journal. NCS will upgrade cards for customers who have purchased a 4-in-1 from NCS at no charge, except for the shipping to and from our company. Please contact NCS via e-mail for mailing instructions to get your 4-in-1 fixed. | Due to image sizes in today's journal, National Console recommends the use of an 800x600 resolution screen for proper formatting of the page. |
