As
reported earlier this week, Capcom's Vampire Saviour for the Saturn is incompatible with
the popular 4-in-1 card. Until the 4-in-1 gets a new production run of newly traced cards,
here's the next best thing: a simple procedure to upgrade your card so that it is
compatible with Vampire Saviour and X-Men vs Street Fighter. NCS has verified the
integrity of this "fix" and deems it safe to do. Customers who are fairly handy
with a soldering iron and with applying solder joints to medium sized solder points will
have no problems. Of course, if you're not exactly confident in your soldering skills or
have had bad experiences with a hot iron on naked skin, feel free to ship your 4-in-1 to
NCS for a quick fix. We won't charge you for the service but you will have to cover the
shipping. Performing the 4-in-1 mod by yourself will void your warranty but if your card
works, performing the mod won't destroy it. That is, as long as you don't short out the
card with a massive, misplaced blob of errant solder.

| NCS is very impressed by the look of the Skeleton Saturn. It is definitely cool. Thanks to the transparent case, the shaft of green luminescence from the power light emanates through the console and can be seen in it's entirety from the base of the pcboard to the top of the lid. Even the battery door is transparent so rotating the Saturn in your hands will give you views of the entire interior of the unit. We're used to the innards of Saturn consoles (we've modified thousands of them) and consider the console ugly inside but the transparent case just makes everything...well, cool. We modified our first couple of Skeleton Saturns yesterday for customers and were very amused to be able to see our switch handiwork from the outside. In any case, we must close reservations for this console due to short supplies in Japan and heavy demand stateside but we will try to get some more in the next week or two since there has been a lot of interest in this console. | After sell-outs of Parasite Eve in the past couple of restock shipments, NCS restocked the Japanese (SLPS) version yesterday. The Asian (SCPS) version with the handy English user manual will be restocked tomorrow. All remaining pre-orders will be completed when the stock arrives. |
| Four new Playstation imports were shipped overnight: Bomberman Wars (US$58), Brave Prove (US$65), Evangelion (US$65), and Play Stadium III (US$58) should arrive tomorrow. Also expected tomorrow: Batsugun (US$39) and Sangokushi V (US$49) restock. | |
| NCS has taken delivery of our second major shipment of Vampire Saviour today. The package arrived a little bit after 1:00PM so all reservations taken in during the past two days will ship this afternoon. |
