A related series of homicides puts police detective Kusakaba-san hot on the trail of a perpetrating serial killer. As chief investigator in the case, you adopt the routine and patter of police work and step into a cinematic adventure of puzzle solving, memory exploration, character interaction and other necessary evils in order to unravel the mystery. Fluid live action sequences dispense the action and the drama plays out in fine form by way of Japanese actors who hail from theatre and film. Three GD-Roms contain the entire adventure and hearken back to the days of old when Saturn games such as Wanchai Connection were fairly common beasts. Japanese actor Hiroshi Mikami plays the lead role of Kusakaba. His previous work includes a role in the 1997 film "Parasite Eve" which was based on the novel by Sena Hideaki. Hiroshi plays a desperate scientist who tries to revive his dead wife but sets off menacing mitochondria instead.

 GBC Dance Dance Revolution GB3

Scans

Following in the well toned heels of Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix on the Playstation, a portable yet potent version appears on the Gameboy Color. Similar to previous versions of Gameboy DDR, a special hand dancing overlay accompanies the cartridge and you go disco dancing with your fingers. New songs, steps, and graphics update the DDR franchise for mobile fans. Many 4th Mix tracks are included in this versatile cartridge such as 1.2.3.4.007 (all the good guys go to heaven) from Ni-Ni, Walkie Talkie, In the Heat of the Night, Eat You Up, and many more. Sadly, the dancing overlay is incompatible with the Gameboy Advance and only snaps onto the contours of standard Gameboy Color handhelds.

 Dreamcast Magazine Vol. 10

Scans

The latest issue of DCM ranks today's new DC game "es" with a hearty 8.33 average. Canvas snags a 7.0 and NBA 2K1 scores 8.33. A Virtua Fighter 4 update examines a new character in Sega's upcoming Naomi 2 coin-op - he appears to be a chinese monk adorned in flowing yellow robes. Virtual On 3 "Force" looks good as does Virtua Striker 3, all coming soon to arcade halls across Japan.
Dreamcast previews in the magazine include Confidential Mission, Crazy Taxi 2, and Run=Dim. A section on Capcom's continued support of Sega Naomi/DC checks out Heavy Metal Geomatrix, a mahjong game starring Street Fighters and Psikyo characters, Capcom vs SNK Millenium Fight 2000 Pro, and Bounty Hunter Sara. The mahjong game pits Chun-Li, Ryu, Cammy, Guile, etc against characters from Psikyo shooters Sengoku Ace, Gunbird, and Sol Divide. The marquee heroes may draw interest from fans who usually rein in the wallet when an MJ game is on offer. Two posters are included with this issue: one which replicates the cover from Sakura 3 regular cd edition and another which poses Erica Fontaine in front, flanked by her crew in the background.

Square's next chapter in the Final Fantasy re-release venture goes live on May 3. NCS expects to stock both the regular game and a special limited edition box which includes the game and a WSC handheld unit. Due to unknown allocation at this time, NCS is unable to accept pre-orders until the third week of April when quantities are known.
The official Sony PS2 DVD remote control unit will be added online later today. Pricing is set at $38. This accessory works fine with either Japanese or USA Playstation 2 consoles.
