Sports Jam garners the equivalent of
"Dendo Silver" with 7,7,7 across the board in
the review section of the latest DCM. The other new game
this week, Angel Present, grabs an average of 6.0. An
article on the X-Box's showing at the Tokyo Game Show
2001 generally underwhelms but Dead or Alive 3
struts and supplies saving grace.
A preview on Sonic Adventure 2 reveals
a new character named "Shadow the Hedgehog" who
plays dark foil to Sonic's cheery blue. Rouge the Bat,
another newcomer, bats her eyelashes against other sexy
video game sirens. World Advanced 2001 also receives a
sizable preview with looks at the background story, the
improved game interface, and the new Map Edit function
where players create their own theatres of war and fire
fights.
Sakura Taisen 3 saw release about 3 weeks
ago and DCM begins the mook-like coverage with no less
than 20 pages of guidance, background on the scenarios,
cinemas, and maps. The issue foregoes any arcade
coverage but we do get a Japanese toy roundup of new
product and "Dream A Girl" checks out Japanese
singer Manami Ono. |
