Omega Boost in stock, MGSI Pre-orders open

Omega Boost / Playstation In stock today at US$55. NCS has only had a couple of minutes this morning to check it out but it looks spectacular. The visuals are stunning and shooter fans will be very pleased with this new release. Bust a Move 2, Saga Frontier 2, and Dr Slump are also restocked today. On the NGP Crush Roller is now available.

Metal Gear Solid Integral / PSX Konami has opened pre-orders for their upcoming enhanced version of MGS. The special Metal Gear re-release will feature English voice acting, English and Japanese subtitles, a first person perspective and new levels. An additional bonus is a VR disc packed with the 2 CDs that comprise the game. Yen retail is priced at Y4900 or roughly NCS$50. MGSI is expected on July 01. Pre-orders are welcome.

New Accessories on the Way A mini joystick attachment for the Gameboy Color is expected in May from Mori. Yen retail is priced at Y980. On the Playstation side of things, ASCII has announced a Paca Paca Passion controller in conjunction with the game's release in June. The Paca Paca controller will also be compatible with Beatmania and Pop 'n Music. Yen retail is listed at Y3980.

We're seeing a locked dollar at Y119.70 this morning with little to no variation. Suits our position fine as our upside and downside limit sells have been set and this will be a self-sustaining position that won't require additional tending.

Phantom Menace
Here's a poster that we received from one of our vendors in Japan. They are hardcore Star Wars fans and were kind enough to include one with our last shipment. Note that this poster is not for sale. We just thought it would be cool to share with our visitors. Note that the image filesize is about 100K, down from an original size of 13.4 Megs. We wanted to retain a reasonable amount of quality in the JPEG but didn't want to overload our server. Enjoy.

We're experiencing some problems with the store site this morning but it should be up and running in a couple of hours. Ah, the travails of on-line commerce.

Capital Markets / 08:57AM
Futures are looking lower this morning but we think any weakness will be bought. We gained another 22 points on the SPX yesterday and 1400 might be here earlier than expected. Overall earnings reports have been satisfactory thus far and should be enough to sustain this bull run for the next couple of weeks. One disturbing factor in this market is the level of bullishness that is out there. Traders think that this will go on forever but history has shown time and again that spectacular runs can end in ruin quickly.

NCS will take an equity position in NSOL this morning. We've read all of the press about domain name registrations and think that the uncertainty is past. It'll be an experiment really since we haven't held actual stock since last year. We'll buy 1000 shares at the open and sit on it for two months. We'll update our position daily in this section. We won't write covered calls on it and we won't buy protective puts or install limits on the core. It'll just float in our portfolio and we'll see where we are in 2 months. We have no target price level but it's just a gut feel that we got after reading some of the news out there on NSOL and their future prospects. Feel free to paper trade along with us but please don't trade along with our position based on this action. Do your own due diligence on anything and everything before throwing money at it. Capital markets carry inherent risk and we may lose our entire investment.
