Beatmania
Pocket 2
Konami's new version of their Beatmania handheld is very cool. It's more ergonomic than the
previous version and the buttons are easier to hit. Like before, you can now take your DJ
skills on the road and jam anywhere that you please. A headphone jack is included if you
wish to play in private and not disturb other jockeys. Retail US$29. |

Arcade
Stock
We received good interest in the arcade inventory that we posted
yesterday. We have noted all orders and should take delivery in 7-9 business days. NCS
will now post a weekly arcade JAMMA/MVS listing and open this line of our business to
retail customers again. We'll update every Monday and take orders during the week. |

Colorful
Dreamcast 2
An addendum to the purple and black DC console article that we posted
yesterday to answer the questions we've received. These new versions of the DC are actual
Sega of Japan Dreamcasts, not some NCS hack. Each console will include a matching joypad
but prices are unknown at this point. We'll update with more information when we have
further details from our vendors. |

Yen Equilibrium
/ 06:21AM
The dollar remains at Y117.90. We've added enough to our original
position and we'll sit on it for the remainder of this week to see the levels that are hit
on the upside and downside. Given the roiling in the financial markets, the dollar is
remarkably stable. We need some more official jawboning to move markets. |

Squall's Necklace
We randomly chose two customers last Friday and we shipped the
necklaces out yesterday. Please note that we may be able to import another 3 units of the
necklace for another drawing from the list of names that we have on hand. We'll post more
details when we have an update.
On a related note, we continue to seek a fair price for the Final
Fantasy VIII Airpro watch. Some offers from vendors in Japan have been too high and others
simply could not offer it to us. |

Capital Markets
/ 06:24AM
Yesterday was the kind of day that bears dream about. In the morning,
the Dow hit all time highs of ~10,700 but by the end of the day, it gave it all back and
lost ground as the Nasdaq was slaughtered by heavy selling. We had a discussion with a few
of our trading associates last night and this may very well signal the reversal that bears
have been waiting for. A huge blow off rally that is extinguished and beaten down. If you
look at the trading logs for Friday, you will see that tech buyers were entering the
market although selling was heavy throughout the day. On Monday, any tech buying was met
with heavy supply that eventually scared buyers off and creamed the dipsters. NCS was
knocked out of our RUT short in the last session as well as the long postition that we
opened. We look for an SPX bounce this morning but we will short it. The correction does
not appear to be over yet but we'll be nimble in this environment to protect premiums. We
ignore the think-tanks who are claiming that there is a shift to cyclical and value
stocks. This is rubbish. The only thing that has changed is players who bought early and
made huge returns have now decided to sell. When this correction is done and the sell
supply is exhausted, there will be a heavy capital flow back into the techs, not the value
stocks that have languished and are now harkened as the "new" market. Don't
believe the rhetoric... |
