Five new Playstation imports arrived this morning. Check out Motteke Tamago with
Ganbare Kamonohasi. The game starts with you, a baby animal, hatching from your
egg or live-borne into life. You'll have to fight your way towards adulthood. Some animals
featured in the game: chickens, frogs, cats, ducks, peacocks... We're
fascinated by the premise. Tenshi Doumei looks like an interesting tactical adventure with
mecha. Full reviews of both games will be posted on Monday's journal. |

| In today's journal, NCS ponders our buying habits. We think that we
can be frank here and admit that we're not at our best when it comes to purchasing the
right numbers for a lot of stock. NCS took inventory a couple of months ago and catalogued
roughly 8,300 CDs in our stock. When we told some of our own distributors about it, they
were horrified and wondered how the NCS company could have been so careless. Oh well,
we're still learning about keeping inventory levels low; the sad thing is, we have
probably added a couple of thousand CDs to the mix since the last inventory check. NCS
will focus on inventory control in the next couple of months and see if we can whittle
those CDs down to 5 or 6 thousand. You can always help by visiting http://www.ncsx.com/prods2.html and purchasing
something... Shameless aren't we? |
| Our
complimentary issue of Konami Magazine arrived on Monday. Despite
the bold-face type on the cover proclaiming Metal Gear Solid, coverage inside is limited
to a primer on the storyline and 16 new screenshots of the action in Gear. The rest of the
issue is devoted to Mitsumete Knight, Twinbee RPG and a ton of ads that tout Konami
releases. NCS will not have the Gun Griffon 2 Link Cable package (US$70) until next week. |
