Dreamcast Software
Updates
A number of new additions have been posted to our DC import schedule
for the third quarter. Soul Calibur and Street Fighter Zero 3 are
now listed at July 29 and New Japan Pro Wrestling 4 (Toukon Retsuden 4)
is expected on July 22. Konami's Air Force Delta is listed only as September TBA. As
usual, further updates will be posted once we receive confirmation from our vendors. |

Dreamcast Accessory
Update
Lengthy joypad and joystick extenders are expected next Monday at US$8
per cable. Additional A/V cables for the Dreamcast are also expected next week at US$8.
The first batches of third party Dreamcast joypads are slated to hit the Asian market
later this month. Initial production prototypes were completed last month but the route
from reverse engineering, drawing board and finished product is arduous. Unfortunately
most of the joypads from manufacturers will be of poor quality and perhaps their right
triggers will break even easier than Sega's own pads. We'll import a few when they're
available and evaluate their viability for the USA market. |

Quiet in Japan
Most vendors returned to work yesterday but there is a dearth of new
product and news in the market now. This is probably what is called the quiet time of the
season where there is a lull in the storm. We notice it also in the equity markets and
other lines of business that we participate in. It's an unexplained phenomenon that
happens every year around this time. Perhaps people are taking early vacations or
something. |

Yen
Equilibrium / 10:21AM
Dollar resting on it's laurels at Y120.60 this morning. It's behaving
well given the turmoil in the markets right now. We remain short with a heavy core. |

Capital
Markets / 10:07AM
Dow and other indexes are looking tired after AG's commentary
yesterday. We remain long SPH however and short RUT. There is a lot of indecision out
there that should be resolved next week with options expiry on the way. It's a feel bad
market at the moment with much trepidation and reluctance to commit new money to feed the
bull. |
