Rasetsu no Ken / PS /
Konami
3-D samurai action game
with spurting blood and violent action. We note the horrible photo quality on the back of
Konami's game packaging and wonder if the screenshots were taken with a throw-away camera.
This game is anti-mod protected and will require a code that is forth-coming in tomorrow's
update. Retail US$55. |

Mahjong Anywhere /
NGPC / ADK
The Neo Geo Pocket seeks to address all genres of gaming and adds Mahjong to their stable this
week. Mahjong Anywhere is a standard Japanese rules MJ game where you can
play against a variety of opponents. Screen definition is excellent and the tiles may be
read easily. All the NGP needs now is a dating game and a shooter. Retail US$35. |

Mission Stick / DC /

The latest Dreamcast accessory is not only big, it looks like one of
those controllers that usually don't make it out of the prototype stage. On the right side
of the controller is a easy to move "mouse" shuttle that includes 2 buttons on
top and a button on the side. In the center of the controller lies the standard
directional pad with the usual A, B, X, and Y buttons to the left of the pad. Finally, on
the leftmost portion of the controller is a stational "mouse" with the L and R
buttons on top of it. Rapid fire toggles are available to control the frequency of button
firing. Controlling the plane is Aero Dancing is very smooth, thanks to the extremely easy
resistance offered by the analog controller. Due to the large size and shipping costs
associated with this controller, NCS pricing for this item has been revised upwards to US$78. |

Yen Equilibrium
/ 12:10PM
We're in the money at Y120.80 from yesterday's level. We watched the
level dump even more in the overnight session but it has revivied somewhat as the US
markets opened for trading. We would like the exchange to go back to Y121.30 so that we
can add to the short position at our original trigger level. |

Arcade Stock
NCS was unable to post an arcade listing update this week due to the
holiday in Japan. We will likely re-schedule updates to a bi-weekly schedule due to the
extra amount of time that we require to bring this type of product into the USA. Customers
who are entering the JAMMA hobby for the first time are advised to purchase a standard
Super Gun such as the Super Nova from MAS Systems in California. JAMMA kits are available
from Japan that provide better shielding against RF interference but pricing is also
higher than what MAS can offer. NCS will post some Super Gun offers from Japan if there is
interest out there. Drop us a line if you'd like to see whats available in the Japanese
market in the way of kits and constructed units. |

Capital Markets
/ 12:20PM
Profit taking ruling the market today. The nets are being destroyed
and many of the generals have broken supports this morning. This does not necessarily mean
that they'll dump even lower because technical buyers may come in and buy below support
levels and look for the rebound. On the other hand, selling may beget more selling as
momentum players bail and margin calls are made to losing players. We are breaking
discipline and accumulating long SPH despite the sell-off this morning. Our hedge is
shorting the Russell with 1:1 puts. We would like to see this type of churning continue
for a couple of days, perhaps heading into expirations next week but buyers are for the
most part matching selling pressure and there is no acceleration of a blow-out. Yet.

NSOL Update:
04.23.99 / 09:35AM Bought 1000 shares NSOL at 79 5/16
Trade executed at market prices.
05.03.99 / 10.25AM NSOL at 75 7/8
05.04.99 / 11:13AM NSOL at 71
05.05.99 / 12:28PM NSOL at 62 1/4
05.05.99 Commentary: NSOL tested 1st support at 64 3/4 this morning and
broke it. It then proceeded to 2nd support at 60 and bounced back up. Support has held but
selling pressure in all other nets may cause it to break support at 60 tomorrow. If this
happens, we look for a plunge to 54. This will be tertiary support which if broken,
signals 47 if selling pressure continues. No qualms but we should have read the chart
better when the selling was so consistent over the past couple of days. |
