Beatmania Summer Mix
We received Konami's product sheet for a new Beatmania Pocket handheld
that is due this summer. We opened pre-orders last week for a variety of upcoming handheld games
from Konami that span their entire Bemani line. New pre-orders are welcome. |

NGP Carrying Case
It's never cool when your handheld, be it a Gameboy or a Neo Geo
Pocket gets an unsightly scratch on the screen. Until now, NGP owners who wanted
unblemished screens have had to store their handhelds inside the original box. No more,
NCS will stock a transparent plastic carrying case for the NGP that will fit over the NGP
and still allow the gamer to play his games with the case in place. We should take
delivery later this week at a price of US$8 per case. |

Mario Color Gameboy
A limited edition Color Gameboy with a Mario case is expected later
this month. Similar to the limited edition Pokemon Color Gameboy, this one will feature a
colored shell with Mario artwork on the case. Expected yen retail is Y9800 or US$95.

Gran Turismo 2?
A number of customers have inquired about the availability of Gran
Turismo 2 later this month. Note that the only PS games scheduled for May 21~27 are
Beatmania Append Gottamix, Ace Combat 3 , and Lunar Eternal Blue. Gran Turismo 2 is not
even listed for July and will likely show up in the August shipping schedules. |

Final Fantasy VIII
Necklaces
We received a small number of the FFVIII Sleeping Lion Heart necklace
+ t-shirt package today. We still have a large number of customers from our last drawing
so we will hold another drawing today and contact those who are selected. We are trying to
keep this process as fair as possible so please understand that the drawing is completely
random and that we have no vested interests in the selections of names. The price for the
Lion Heart package remains at US$158 and orders will ship tomorrow once we
receive confirmations from our customers. |

Yen Equilibrium

The dollar remains very stable at Y120.80 this morning. As a result,
our short position is pretty much at parity value though we are in the black. Is it worth
it? Considering that we've only held for a couple of days, yes. If the dollar remains at
this level for a month, then it is not worth it since capital could be used for more
profitable trades and arbitrages. We'll remain with this position for another two weeks
but we should realize some movement sooner than that. |

Another bull run is in the making, as impossible as it sounds. We
think that the upside is 11,600 by June with a couple of pull backs on course over the
next couple of weeks. Each dip that we've seen in the past couple of weeks has been bought
and the market continues to amaze. All this buying mania brings out the bears and
doomsayers who call for Dow 7800 and worse by the end of the year. It's very rational to
be a bear since the market is at such high valuations but it doesn't pay to be rational in
the face of equity buying sprees. Forego decisive thinking and just go long.... |
