Playstation August Imports
NCS received a preliminary listing of the August release schedule for the PS and some long-time issues may finally be resolved this summer. Patlabor has been confirmed for August 10 and Macross VF-X2 now has a date of August 24. Other notable imports include Front Mission 3 and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure on 08/24,  Psychic Force 2, Gundam G Generation Z, Cybernetic Empire and Dragon Valor on 08/03 and Spectral Force: Beloved Evil on 08/27. A complete schedule of Playstation imports for the month of August will be posted once we have the final listing. Pre-orders are welcome.

New DC Imports
The Dreamcast drought ends on Wednesday when we take delivery of Dynamite Deka 2 and Elemental Gimmick Gear. Gamers got a taste of DD2 in last week's issue of Dreamcast Magazine and feedback has been positive. Both new DC titles will be priced at US$55 and new pre-orders are welcome. The next batch of DC titles include Climax Landers, Expendable and King of FIghters 99 Dream Match on June 10.

DC Airforce Delta
Konami's arcade flight simulator has been confirmed for July 29. Mission Stick owners will get to use their special controller with at least another game in addition to Aero Dancing.

Neo Geo Pocket Imports
Metal Slug First Mission and Fatal Fury First Contact are expected on Wednesday at US$35 per cartridge. Early screenshots of the handheld version of Metal Slug look exquisite with sharp, detailed graphics. New pre-orders are welcome.

Store Meat and Potatoes
Most of the Saturn import inventory and half of the Playstation imports in our stock have been added to the NCS store site. The remaining products and miscellaneous items should be posted up this week. A section for figures, wall scrolls and publications will also be added to the on-line store before the weekend.

Yen Equilibrium / 09:05AM
The dollar/yen moved down to Y123.70 overnight so we're on our way to parity. Mr. Yen expressed some helpful sentiments overnight by proclaiming the U.S. a bubble economy. The stock market is certainly overvalued by history standards but some of that steam has been let out over the past month in the nets and techs. Once prices are at levels that look attractive, liquidity should rush back in. The problem is gauging the levels that will trigger heavy inflows.

Capital Markets / 09:09AM
Futures are higher in pre-market trading but there is little reason for buyers to come into the market now. The term "painting the tape" comes to mind where small trades are influencing the bias to make things look more positive than they really are. However, there may be honest trading out there this morning where dipsters are taking positions. Bonds are slightly lower this morning with the yield visiting the 5.8% level. The NYSE's Grasso is spouting longer trading hours as early as July. Bad idea. Markets need a rest and the ramification of extended trading hours may prove to be more negative than positive.
