Neo Geo Console Update
It never fails to disappoint. After telling our vendor that we would clear their entire stock of Neo Geo consoles, they have now reneged on the original price that they quoted us and have tripled their asking price. Apparently, they are avid readers of our website and are aware of the demand for these consoles. It appears that many of our vendors in Asia and Japan now read our updates to see what we're doing. Sigh, we will speak to them tonight and hopefully come up with a middle ground before we commit to the stock. If they are unwilling to lower their prices, we will likely cancel our order since they appear to be able to get their asking price from other companies in Asia they have contacted. Please await our update tomorrow.

DC Preview Discs
We were comped with two special Dreamcast preview discs with today's shipments of imports. The first disc is a playable preview of Soul Calibur, which may be the same disc that was playing at the E3 show. As many of you who went to the show know, the DC version of SC is dazzling and graphically superior to the Namco arcade original. The second is a Climax Landers disc that contains an advertisement for the game and 3 VMS mini-games that range from a simple dungeon exploration game to a quirky life sim game. Each game takes up an entire VMS. Customers who place new orders for VMS units may request that one of the Climax Landers games be loaded onto their VMS at no extra charge, courtesy of NCS.

Yen Equilibrium / 10:21AM
The yen is trading aroung the 121 range and our bias is to go short dollar and move long the yen at this point. This is only a bias however since we will likely not act today due to the volatility in the markets. Hate to get whipsawed once we pound our stake into the ground.

Capital Markets / 10:51AM
Our SPH short looked weak on Friday's rally but we're doing fine today. We think the correction wil continue until tomorrow morning, and then we'll do a dead cat bounce as traders see phantom bargains. NAPM data this morning was inflationary and will force traders out for the day. However, market memory is exceedingly short and dipsters will herd back in. We will trade out of the SPH and go long tomorrow but we will be nimble and establish levels to trigger short when the SPX hits 1320 on the rally. Our CMGI trade is marginal. Our parity price is $85 with the covered calls we wrote on Friday so we are protected up until that level. When Net IPOs lose their luster, CMGI will get hammered bad, but this probably won't happen for another couple of years.
