Playstation CD-Rom drives are available from NCS at US$38 per unit. Both
SCPH-1000 and SCPH-5000 optical lenses are in stock for shipping today. SCPH-3000 series
consoles are compatible with SCPH-1000 drives. Replacing your skippy CD-Rom drive is a
simple matter of removing the original and popping in the replacement. Once in place, FMV
choppiness and failed disc loads will be a thing of the past. |

Magazine features incredible screenshots and detailed information on Final Fantasy VIII.
The FFVIII preview spans 29 pages. A detailed look at Metal Gear Solid is also included.
Our appetites have been whetted and we're now awaiting those preview discs. Two books are
also in stock this week: The Last Book of Bust A Move and a King of Fighters

Journal, NCS looks at two special events that gamers can engage in when Rival
Schools: United by Fate arrives next month. We were amused with the soccer bonus
game where you kick a ball into the skulls of fellow students. Also, seven new Playstation
imports were shipped overnight and we expect to take delivery tomorrow. NCS looks forward
to XI, the dice puzzle game from Sony. |
