Strife, war, and unrest in a Middle Eastern country forces a
teenage princess from her homeland into the relative safety of
your home. Until peace negotiations are finalized, you'll
serve as her companion and perhaps love interest if you're
enough of a mack to woo her. Sandia, said princess,
appears like most anime maidens with shimmering eyes, utters
perfect Japanese, and even enjoys rice with boiled eel. Four
other girl characters round out the cast in the game and they
range the spectrum of femininity - Akane's your
childhood friend and she serves on the student council while
maintaining top notch grades at school. Tomboy Kyoko
presents the image of beauty and brawn with skills in various
forms of martial arts and a boyish charm about her. Saya
suffers alienation from her parents, who are too busy to pay
her much mind, and she's the shy, reserved girl of the group.
Last but not least, the mighty sexy Natsuki works as a
waitress at a coffee bar and would give any of the waitresses
from Pia Carrot a run for their money. |

Welcome to Pia Carrot v2.5 |
Scans |
|
Finishing the last year of high school, you, Kouji Maeda, are
on your way to college to find your destiny. Before classes
start however, a summer job awaits at the Pia Carrot - a
restaurant which employs a gorgeous group of waitresses. In
addition to the routine of work, you also seek love,
companionship, and intimate moments with a waitress. To
achieve amorous association, you'll need to buff up your
stamina, guts, physique, style, and other attributes in order
to make yourself attractive to the apple of your eye. To
"level up", you'll take up different tasks at the
restaurant including waiter which adds to your style or
vegetable chopper, which boosts your stamina. Tsukasa Enomoto,
a video game playing waitress will become attracted to you if
you're nice to her and allow her to win at games. It's not
that simple to woo her, but that's the gist of how to get the
girl. Each woman's personality also remains constant and
congruent during the entire game, never straying from her
likes, dislikes, etc. The Dreamcast version mirrors the
storyline from the Saturn game but features improved DC
graphics and new waitress uniforms for the girls to
model. |

Super Runabout ~ San Francisco Edition |
Scans |
|
Hurtling through the streets of San Francisco, you might be
forgiven for losing control from time to time as you zoom to
accomplish missions of varying import. Starting the game, you
are asked to join San Francisco Motors or the San Francisco
Police Department. The former puts you in the position of
delivering packages and locating bombs for defusing. Joining
the latter lets you roll under the auspices of civic duty. As
a SFM employee, you'll pick up explosives from around the city
and shuttle them to the bomb center. Other missions seem a
little left of center, such as the hot dog task, where you
scour the city in search of ingredients to assemble a
righteous hot dog. A wide range of vehicles serve as your
mission carriage including a light-weight Vespa, sports car,
pick-up truck, Formula One racer, and even a commuter bus.
More vehicles may be unlocked as you accomplish your appointed
tasks and progress further into the game. The diversity of
missions and vehicles may provide sufficient fodder for
mission-based racing game fans. |

Z-Gundam Best Collection |
Scans |
|
Eight years after the One Year War in UC0079, the Titans (Gundam
Mark-II RX-178 or Black Gundam) are assembled by the Earth
Federation. Their tasks are to hunt and eliminate any
remaining cadres of the Zeon forces. The Titans enforce their
rule by brutal tactics which force a newtype prodigy of a
Gundam pilot, Camille Vidan, from their ranks. Camille takes a
Titan and joins a rebellion force called the Anti-Earth Union
Group. His heart is turned entirely when the Titans
accidentally kill his mother in a trap meant to disable
Camille's Gundam Mark-II. Z-Gundam captures the events and
scenarios in Z-Gundam to fairly awesome effect but the game
itself is fairly lacking in the play department. The player
controls the Mark-II at the outset of the game but eventually
graduates to the Zeta-Gundam model. Anime sequences are
exquisite to behold and of exceptional quality. Z-Gundam
includes two discs: Camille's scenario takes up the first disc
and the second gives you the game from Char's perspective as
he fights for the AEUG using the MSN-100. |

Adventure 2 Birthday Pack |
Scan |
Sonic Adventure 2 Birthday Pack, Japanese import, is expected
to partially arrive on Friday of this week. The remainder
should arrive on Monday of next week. The import game is
confirmed to be bi-lingual and supports English and Japanese
text and speech which
should make it an easy sell. The history booklet in the
Birthday Pack is bi-lingual as well, making it enjoyable to
Americans and Japanese alike. As mentioned a couple of months
ago when we started taking pre-orders, NCS confirms that all
reservations for the Sonic 2 Birthday Pack are guaranteed. New
orders are welcome for the Birthday Pack as we have buffer
stock. Please note the USA version of Sonic Adventure 2 goes
to retail today. We have heard reports of the Sonic 2 Limited
Edition in the USA market but we have not been able to confirm
this with Sega of America or any distributors. Due to the
imminent arrival of the import Sonic 2 game, we will begin
processing orders this week for timely shipments.
Thanks.
EDIT: Thanks to everyone who wrote in this morning
concerning the USA Birthday Pack, yes it exists in scarce
quantities and is the same exact Birthday Pack that will be
released in Japan this weekend. |

August Import Schedule, Thus Far... |
Not yet...
|
|
Two imports for the Dreamcast in August as of last night's
schedule updates. First, we have Air on August 9 at
Y6800 and secondly, Eldorado Gate Vol. 6 ships to
distribution on August 8 at Y2800. Any additional (?) imports
will be posted once confirmations are received.
|
|
|
August's poor showing for the DC shouldn't be taken as a
harbinger of doom. A number of projects are still in the
pipeline.
