New Dreamcast Import In
   One new software diversion for Dreamcast fans today. Shutokou Battle 2 plays a mean racing game, as widely expected. Advanced Daisenryaku appears slated for delivery tomorrow and this new wargame offers many improvements over the Saturn original such as height considerations for the landscape and a vast array of weaponry to outfit your units with. This particular game was originally expected today but it seems some courier left it in a local hub...  DC Shutokou Battle 2 US$53
Playstation 2 SCPH-15000 DVD Lock-out
   NCS received a new supply of Japanese PS2 consoles this morning. Some containers with the SCPH-15000 model revisions were mixed in with the standard SCPH-10000 original stock. We can confirm that the SCPH-15000 PS2 will no longer allow region 1 DVDs (USA territory) to run even when a memory card with v1.0 drivers is inserted into the PS2 console. The standard two-line error message appears regardless of joypad button combination and/or other tricks. NCS maintains a good supply of the SCPH-10000 units in stock and we'll continue to sell these on our shop until we run out. After the current SCPH-10000 supply peters out, we will only be able to offer the newer SCPH-15000 revision which will no longer allow the use of American DVDs. We will note this clearly on our on-line store when the model transition occurs. In the meantime, we'll go spelunking for hacks or tricks on the new pcboard revision.
Neo Geo Pocket Ogre Battle
   The requiem sounded last week for the NGP in the States but the Japanese market lives on. Ogre Battle is now in stock and pre-orders will ship today. The game text is in Japanese but those who are familiar with the gameplay of previous versions of Ogre will recognize the icons that designate action and the overall battle sequences that are viewed isometrically. NCS also restocked the Asian versions of Beast Buster Dark Arms, Bio Motor Unitron, and Metal Slug 1st Mission. All ship in the plastic clamshell container and are in English. NGP Ogre Battle US$38
