Playstation 2 Early?
Some curious news from overseas. Sony's Asian distribution partner for
Playstation software sales, located in Hong Kong, has hinted to NCS that they expect the
PS2 to ship late this year in Japan and Hong Kong simultaneously. While nothing is
confirmed or set in stone at this point, NCS notes that this particular distribution
partner originally gave us the indication that the Dreamcast would ship in both Japan and
Asia concurrently, last summer, through an arrangement with Sega of Japan. That came to
pass. If this news comes to fruit, NCS may very well have to start planning the
importation of the Playstation 2 units in the next couple of months. Initial quantities
will likely be meager and prices may unfortunately revisit the stratospheric valuations of
the first Dreamcast consoles, if not higher. NCS will post more details as we receive
them. |

early morning weakness translating into gradual reversals of fortune for the bulls. New
money entering the short side may get whipsawed until all capital is waxed. The direction
now is up, with Joe Sixpack plowing retirement money into mutual funds and into the market
any which way but loose. He's following the smart money... |
