The roly-poly polygonal players from Konami's trademark baseball game return with a 1998 version. This year's edition updates team data and features fluid player motion (they jiggle and jolt like roly-poly players should) and refined gameplay. Dual Shock support helps to relay the whack of the ball and the bruising thud when you're hit by a pitch. It is now easier to time and thus hit pitches with the on-screen tracking cursor. Homers are still tough to earn and line drives that dribble across the field are the norm. A player training section helps to "level-up" your players as they train and practice to become better athletes. Fun as always, and something that fans of American style baseball games will either love or hate.
