Ougon no Taiyo ~ Golden Sun |
Scans |
|
Developer Camelot returns to the genre which made their
fortune. As a young energist named Robin, who uses magical
"energy" to smack down foes, you venture forth on a
quest to stop the destruction of the world. Equal parts RPG
and tactical battle simulation, the stunning presentation on
the GBA and the familiar look/gameplay found in past Camelot
offerings make Golden Sun a pleasant homage to the old
school. |

One Piece: Tobidase
Kaizokudan! |
Scans |

Monkey D. Rufi, a young boy, eats some bad fruit which changes
his body into rubber. This abnormal condition gives him the
ability to elongate his appendages and bounce bullets but
dashes away his hopes of ever swimming again. Despite all
this, Rufi has a dream to become the greatest pirate of all
time. In order to achieve this immortal title, he embarks on
an adventure to find the greatest pirate treasure, One Piece.
He is not without rivals however as competing crews also covet
One Piece and will stop at nothing to obtain it. As Rufi
travels, he meets and befriends other pirates who eventually
join his crew. This is his story, in Bandai powered adventure
game form. NCS will stock the Pocket Station packed version
next week (US$95). |

Summon Night 2 |
Scans |
|
The first Summon Night game captivated Japanese fans
with it's Tactics Ogre style gameplay and fully fleshed out
storyline. A group of characters involve themselves in drama
and into situations which require battle and the summoning of
creatures to aid in fighting foes. The game went something
like this: Movement phase, attack phase, conclusion, ad
infinitum. Building on the popularity of the original Summon
Night, the sequel continues the ability of summoning animal
familiars to help in battles as well as magical attacks to
scorch foes. Beasts may also evolve (Pokemon, anyone?) as they
gain more experience and take on new forms. Players may also
engage in mini-games to gain experience and items. |

Maestro Music 2 |
Scans |
Armed with a conductor's baton, you take charge in guiding an
orchestra or group of musicians into symphony through
passage to crashing conclusion. Conductors daintily move their
wands and band members eyeball that wand in order to play the
music. Make the wrong move and discord enters the melody but
flow like water and you're on your way to victory. Conductors
also arrange original compositions for the band or orchestra
to play if so inclined. Finally, conductors whittle away the
hours by practicing and rehearsing their groups for
performances worthy of encore level bravissimo. On-screen cues
help aspiring musical directors conduct and create some
beautiful music.
Two versions of Mastro Music 2 are in stock
today, a standard edition which only includes the game (you
can use the conductor's baton from the original Playstation
version) and a deluxe box version which holds both the Maestro
Music 2 game disc and the required conductor's baton. |

New Century Evangelion Typing Project-E |
Scans |
|
Normally, the EVA crew are
perfectly capable of taking care of their own hides, thank you
very much. However, there are times when the Angels play a
little too rough and Asuka, Rei, Shinji, etc need a show of
support. Help Evangelion defeat all comers by typing
accurately, swiftly, and without fail. That's right, put away
your gun and sheath your samurai sword, because all you need
for this mission are magic fingers that dance across the face
of your PS2 USB keyboard. Missions range from chasing and
destroying enemy agents to destroying a fleet of ships
coursing through the water. Even Bemani inspired fun gets
representation when the EVA crew dance to the tap of your
typing. A myriad of other exercises await to tone up your
secretarial skills.
Since Maya Ibuki is the only normal, mentally
sound human in the EVA cast, she plays the role of emcee to
help you inculcate yourself to the typing fun. Please note,
the PS2 keyboard is not included and you must buy your own,
separately, somewhere. NCS is now sold out of them. |
