Sengoku

with a ship date of October 26 and a Japanese retail price of
Y32000. Pre-orders are welcome by sending a reservation
request to NCS with the
subject header "Sengoku 3 AES". Due to the
short lead time for this pre-order, NCS expects to close
reservations on August 27. The Sengoku 3 release is an
official SNK production and pricing is expected to visit the
US$300 range. All pre-orders received by August 27 are

In related news, the Metal Slug 3

Generation of Chaos |
Scans |
Three gods rule Neverland in strained balance and the status
quo needs little adjustment. Staid society begets more of the
same. There's the good deity Chorea, the wise god Epsilon, and
the dark lord Janis but the scales are tipped when an
adventurer topples Janis. Taking cue and advantage of the
confusion, the hordes of the Muromachi kingdom rage across the
land and assume domination of Neverland. The new state of
affairs jibe not at all with contingents within the kingdom
and the factions wrestle for power. It is under this umbrella
in which you start the game.
From
the loins of human and orc parents, the female adventurer Rozé
stars as the main character. Orphaned at a young age, Rozé
suffers again when humans kill her sibling. Setting forth in a
bid for revenge, she meets up with like-minded warriors and
others who help her view things from a wider perspective.
Generation of Chaos melds classic role playing action with
strategic planning in which players build up infrastructure
and gather armed forces to support the erstwhile fiefdom. From
your base of operations, you conquer neighboring lands,
explore deep dungeons, and otherwise jockey for position
against the empire. |

Real Robot Regiment |
Scans |
Frontier colonists establish communities on orbiting space
stations called Sides while mother earth retains control over
their operations. All children eventually seek independence
from their parents and the occasion in Real Robot Regiment is
marked by the declaration of war. The two sides battle and
both camps suffer massive casualties. A truce is called but
tensions run high once again when the Earth Federation forces
begin marshalling a massive attack on the colonies. Heeding
the troop movement below, the colonists prepare their own
assault and thus begins the story in RRR.
Gathering together robots from a cavalcade of
Japanese television producers including the likes of Sunrise,
Toei, and NNC, a largish assortment of mecha are at the
players disposal. Five flavors of Gundam, Getta Robo, and
Robokon, among others join the offensive in this scrolling
action game. Shoot at enemy robots, evade oncoming fire, and
ramp up special attacks when the occasion calls to impact a
special death blow. When marching with a cadre of mecha,
players can jump from one robot to another and take direct
control of each mech. |

Tam Tam Paradise |
Scans |
| An
angel from heaven has been sent by God to help troubled souls
on Earth. As a cherub in training, you dole out good deeds by
way of slapping a percussion "instrument" in time to
a stream of angel wings which descend on screen. Your
archenemy in this exercise of rhythm aptitude rests in the
dark and pointy tailed persona of a bat-winged demon girl.
Musical flavor from around the world, represented by instruments from particular countries, provide the lullabyes
and strident interludes to play the game to. |
 |
Two
percussion controllers are included with each copy of
Tam Tam, as shown in the photo. Players beat on the
circular piece as well as the crescent shaped portion of
the controller to the angel wing cues on screen. |
