Shen Mue demo / Aero
Dancing missions
NCS received but a single copy each of the Shen Mue demo GD-Rom and
the Shen Mue video cassette preview today. These Shen Mue products are given away free in
Japan but not all of our vendors were able to get them to fulfill the demand from their
resellers. Some received nothing and were oblivious to the demand for this item. It does
not appear that our vendors will be able to supply any more than what we received today.
If anything changes, NCS will update the situation.
Sega will release a special Aero Dancing missions disc that is free of
charge in Japan later this month. The mission disc contains additional levels and
competition video from the Aero Dancing contest held earlier this year. NCS expects to be
able to stock this demo and will offer it free of charge to customers who have ordered
Aero Dancing from NCS. We only ask that you cover the shipping charge from our company to
you. To apply, send an e-mail to ncs@escape.com with
the header "Aero Dancing Bonus" and in the body of the message,
list your name and invoice number that you ordered Aero Dancing under. In return, we'll
ship the disc to you as soon as it's in. |
Soul Calibur
NCS received our restock of SC today and all orders that were
submitted late last week will ship today. The game continues to amaze with strong sales
and heavy interest. |
Dreamcast Magazines
The latest issue of Dreamcast Fan and the latest issue of Dreamcast
Magazine will ship to subscriptions today. As noted last week, Dreamcast Fan is now a
monthly magazine with the September issue expected in late August. Subscribers take note.
The special Dreamcast Magazine ( 08/27/99 ) with the 2 GD-Roms is also
in stock today. The first GD-Rom contains a playable preview of Cool Boarders
BURRN! and Buggy Heat. The second GD-Rom contains Soul
Calibur. Basically, a collectible magazine with Cool Boarders being the only new
blood since the main draw, Soul Calibur, is already available in the marketplace. This
issue is priced at Y980 or NCS US$15. All magazines are available on the
NCS on-line store for new orders. |

New look
This week's layout looks fine under Internet Explorer but Navigator
has problems resolving the lines that we're using to construct the tables. We tried to do
them in a different way but there was still no improvement in the display. NCS recommends
IE but we note that there are many, many Navigator users out there. We'll return to the
old update layout next week. Just doing some experimentation. |
Capital
Things are tentative in the markets and our scenario outlined last
week is still up in the air. We initiated our put writes last Thursday and have captured a
little over 150K in premiums. The puts have moved in our favor but we may lose those gains
if the selling continues this week. As a hedge, we may buy some back at lower prices since
the play will have been for naught if everything tanks again. We may only be able to keep
1/3 of our write but we shall see how the Chicago pits move markets today. |
