| The latest edition of Sega's
popular baseball license makes it's way to market in time for the baseball fever that is
gripping New York. The Yankees are cruising to a record year while the Mets are in
wildcard contention. We sat and wondered if Greatest Nine (World Series Baseball in the
USA) was the only baseball game ever on the Saturn that engendered more than one release.
It appears so since the only other Saturn baseball game that we could think of was the
poor Double Header Baseball from Jaleco which died in the Japanese and American markets.
We still have the back-stock that never sold to prove it. The Summer Action '98 edition
features improved graphics (great, realistic player animation) and all of the usual
Japanese teams, Hanshin Tigers, et al that populate the import baseball games on the
Playstation. Fun and seemingly the only baseball game on the Saturn that gets updated year
to year. |
