released their brand of Maracas controllers for Samba de Amigo overnight. NCS expects to
take delivery next week and pricing is tentatively set at US$75. We are not
sure of the packaging size at this point but the final cost will depend on per unit
freight costs from Asia. More details next week. |

Sega
will apparently release 30K units of Samba de Amigo and only 10K units of the Maracas in
the USA market. Third party Maracas may save the day if this is indeed the true ratio for
the U.S. |

Three DC releases from the past couple of weeks have been added to general NCS inventory
this morning and are available on the shop. .

One reason
why NCS is unable to offer certain titiles during the first week of a game's release is
because of minimum required quantities. If we can't purchase enough, we have to wait until
the game is available in the Japanese aftermarket. |

A number of older Playstation imports arrived this morning and will be added to the store
later today. Some names include Abalaburn, Cybernetic Empire, Dance Dance Dance, Deep
Freeze, and Pastel Muses. Over on the DC Gundam Ghiren's Greed and KOF '99 Evolution are
available again. Finally, two new issues of Dreamcast Magazine arrived and should be added
to the on-line store this afternoon for new orders. Subsciptions will see dispatch today.
The latest issue of DC Magazine (Aug. 25 to Sept. 01) continues the
Grandia II coverage with detailed maps and location of bonus items that one can discover.
A prevew of Phantasy Star On-line stuns with imagery from the game. If Sega can pull this
game off and execute in good form, Japanese will buy the DC just to play this game. A
moves list for the characters in the recent Vampire Chronicles details different mode
attacks for VC fighters such as Gallon, Zabel, Victor, and Felicia. Sigh. |
Few
suppliers overseas maintain any type of inventory these days. One reason is the issue of
wasting assets, games which depreciate as time flies by. Some software titles take months,
if not years to sell off. Efficient business models usually require thin, lean
inventory... |

NGP Evolution is available again this morning and customers who have been contacted
earlier this week will have their orders shipped this afternoon. NCS expects one final
shipment of Evolution on August 28 and any outstanding orders for this game will be
fulfilled at that time. Our next project will be to import Faselei and as mentioned
earlier in the week, supplies appear to be readily available albeit at higher than normal
prices. Card Fighters Clash: Capcom Supporters (Asian version) and Neopoke
Ganbare-kun (Japanese version) are also restocked this morning. |
SNK's official NGP to DC link cable has been restocked today and this product is
now listed on the on-line store for new orders. Pricing is set at US$30. |
