| NCS may have a
problem fulfilling a portion of our reservation schedule for the Limited Edition of MGS.
We must go by what our Japanese suppliers tell us, and on Tuesday night, everyone stated
that shipments would proceed according to our pre-orders. Without contingencies.
Cartons have been shipped but now suppliers are imposing bundle deals that we deem unfair.
Each MGS Limited Box is being allocated with the contingency that we take 5 Japanese
Playstation memory cards with each MGS box, at a realized additional cost
of USD60 per unit. NCS cannot accept these additional costs and may have to refuse
delivery of some of the cartons. We don't mind absorbing some of the added cost of the MGS
box but to accept 800+ memory cards out of the blue is unfair to us. This was unforeseen
so we obviously have a dilemna today. |
| Some of today's
cartons arrived so NCS will ship MGS Limited Edition pre-orders by going down our
reservation list. If the rest of the cartons arrive later today, our remaining pre-orders
will see dispatch, contingent on whether or not we decide to accept the cartons. Many will
be disappointed but we stand in a difficult situation with no easy answers. We must issue
an about-face about having surplus quantities of the MGS Limited Box and
we may have to refuse some cartons based on the 05 memory card add-on contingency. The
import business remains a tentative path of perilous coals for those without shoes.
Essentially, a well planned event that we prepared for over the past three months has
crumbled to dust overnight due to unfair practices and forced product. |
