Like a rising
cyclops rumbling to battle, the fearsome Zaku mobile suit toting a heavy gun is enough to
make Gundam warriors turn
tail and bolt back to Federation headquarters. Bandai grants players the
chance to draft themselves into Zeon's mechanized forces and combat the
machinations of the Earth Federation. Taking place after the One Year War, a
resurgent Federation initiates Operation V to build it's own mobile suits.
Later, armed with the Gundam technology retrieved from White Base, the EF
begins it's offensives against the Zeon troops across North America. A mighty
blow is eventually struck against the Zeon when the Federation carries out
Operation Odessa, in which they recapture the Odessa Mining Facilities and
deprive the invaders of needed resources. Amidst this backdrop, your cadre of
Zaku Mobile Suits strive to hold the Zeonic Front against the emboldened
Federation mongrels.
Zeonic Front was awarded a Platinum Medal in last week's issue of
Famitsu, scoring high in both gameplay and presentation.
