GBA Kikikaikai Advance

US$49

Evil spirits loosed upon the world wreak havoc once again and the protectors of the shrine, Kikikaikai Ninja and her companion raccoon, rise up to meet the challenge. A third maiden character joins the cast to battle evil incarnate. Classic overhead platform action plays well on the small screen with our heroine battling spirits, sweeping away ghosts and projectiles, and performing special dash moves to escape from harm's way. Menacing bosses cap each level to add to the angst and drama.

PS2 DVD Region X JAPAN

US$33

European and American PS2 owners have enjoyed the use of the DVD Region X for a couple of months now. Viewing DVDs from other regions on the PS2 is a good thing. Japanese PS2 players now also nab open access to DVDs from all territories with the new-style DVD Region X which is disc based only. Dongle's gone. NCS has tested the disc with the SCPH-10000, 15000, and 30000 consoles with success. We don't have a 35000 model at this time to check but it should work as well. Feedback appreciated if you have a 35000 and have purchased this disc.  Disclaimer: Some dual layer DVDs won't load and special DVD features may be inaccessible when using the DVD Region X.
DC Dead or Alive 2 LE

US$68

Roughly a year after selling out of DOA2 LE and receiving many, many inquiries concerning the possibility of restock, it's back. NCS restocked the game last week and limited supplies of this game are on offer through our online store. What sets DOA2 LE apart from the regular edition? Let us recount the ways...
-
  • Beauteous and sexy maiden galleries in the Digital Venus Photo File
  • Snazzy variant cover scoping Kasumi and Ayane, back to back
  • Higher resale value on Antiques Roadshow a century hence

Weekly Import Outlook

It's going to be a light week with three PS2 imports on schedule for Thursday:
-
  • King's Field IV Y6800
  • Time Crisis 2 with Guncon Y9800
  • Yamate Line, The Real Train Simulator Y5800

A shipment of new Dreamcast imports appears delayed until next week but we'll update accordingly once it arrives. Restock shipments slated for this week include the following games: DC Digi-Charat Regular and Limited Edition, Frame Gride, Samba 2000, Sakura Taisen Remake, Sakura Taisen Song Show, and Super Puzzle Fighter IIX. PS Densha de Go! Nagoya and Professional, DDR 4th Mix, Guitar Freaks 2nd Mix, and Summon Night 2. On the PS2, Everybody's Golf 3 and Mosquito are on their way for arrival on Thursday or Friday.
Fourth Quarter 2001 Import Schedule

A partial listing of upcoming imports for the last quarter of 2001 was uploaded earlier this morning. Notables are highlighted below:
-
  • PS2 Flying Circus features remote-controlled helicopters and the deluxe edition of the game includes a special RC accessory (shown)
  • PS2 Metal Gear Solid 2 LE is listed but NCS is accepting tentative pre-orders only at this time. Once we confirm availability, we'll update our customers with additional details.
  • Hoping to avoid uproar due to the September 11th terrorist attack, publisher Kadokawa has delayed the puzzle game Building Baku to November 29. In the game, players place bombs at strategic positions inside landmark buildings to topple them.
  • REZ pre-orders are being accepted for the DC and the PS2. A special PS2 edition includes an accessory dubbed a "transvibrator".
  • Police 911 or The Keisatsukan arcade port will feature a new game accessory called "the Capture Eye" by Konami. A supremely realistic gun shooting game, Konami will recreate the arcade experience with a sensor controller which registers your movements in the game (ducking and dodging) to avoid oncoming fire.
