Silent Scope |

| Snipin' is
hard work. When the president's daughter is kidnapped by terrorists, its up to you, an
elite sniper to gear up and get some head shots. The mission takes you through a
sprawling metropolis, the highways, and a thrilling jaunt aboard a helicopter, among other
levels. The conversion is excellent and Konami puts in a virtual scope that works better
than any real world scope with an intuitive focus and zoom scheme. The gore runs red,
thick and uncensored in this version. US$53. |

Moto GP |

There's
something about motorcycles. From Hell's Angels on Harleys to a lone figure silhouetted
against a darkening sky, a mystique and power emanates from these two wheeled horses.
Moto GP gives virtual riders some of this power in an arcade tuned racing
game licensed by Dorna, proprietors of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix.
Famous circuits from Suzuka to Jerez are yours to challenge and conquer. A nice in-game
bonus is the ability to save your race to the Playstation 8M memory card to relive your
greatest rides or most embarassing blunders. Fine racing execution that challenges the
age-old reign of Sega's Super Hang-On. In stock today at US$65. |

Moto GP Controller |
Big One |
| Due to a large
package size, NCS' allotment of the Moto GP controller was shipped separately from the
game and we will take delivery on Monday of next week. We would recommend shipping the
controller separately from the game due to the oversized packaging that we will need to
use to ship the Moto GP controller. Pricing will also be finalized on Monday once we
figure out how much the carriage costs were. |
The absolute biggest accessory that NCS has
ever imported has to be the DDR deluxe dancing pad from Konami. No conventional boxes will
handle the length or girth of this monster. |

DOA2 RE Next Week |
LE Madness |
NCS will
stock the regular edition of import Dreamcast Dead or Alive 2 next week.
A new supply will ship to market to fill outstanding demand. The limited edition appears
out of the question now as we did find a vendor who had been hoarding a small cache but
wanted approximately US$90 per unit if we bought out the entire batch. We didn't accept
the price and will now only offer the regular edition of DOA2 until further notice.
NCS is currently accepting pre-orders for Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore
on the Japanese PS2. There may be an LE version, perhaps with a silvery slipcase like the
original version of Playstation 2 DOA. |
Love Hina LE has hit excrutiating wholesale
price levels from vendors and Eternal Arcadia LE has joined it. We can
buy EA LE at US$145 if we needed any. We don't at this time and have available stock on
hand for new orders. NCS retail pricing for EA LE remains at US$105. |

Metal Slug X |
eLiTe |
After many
delays and no news for a while, SNK's Metal Slug X has shown up on the
Playstation import December schedule to ship on 12/21. Neo Geo fans know the license well
but Playstation gamers have also helped to make the original Metal Slug a consistent
seller for the past couple of years. It's one of those games that seemingly sells forever
as new fans discover it. In MSX, four soldiers may be chosen as your on-screen
representation and three new vehicles, in addition to the original Metal Slug, may be
mounted. The Camel Slug is a little odd but the Harrier and the Robot fit into the
framework of the game well. Throw in 17 weapon types and the presence of food and you have
a bonafide shooter fit for any armchair grunt. A little more on the food. During your
travels and shooting runs, you'll uncover portions of good eating that fill your belly.
Munch too much and the announcer will exhort your big size as your soldier gets fat and
moves slower. Find the diet pill to get trim and fighting fit again.
Pre-orders are welcome and pricing is set at US$55 based on the yen retail of
Y5800. |
Nobody does it better. In some genres,
there are leaders that are so distinguished from the rest of the crowd that they can only
be described as the field echelon. Metal Slug rocks the boat by using incredible sprite
detail, flawless, fluid animation and gameplay that sews everything together perfectly.
All four Neo Geo volumes of Slug have been champions. Some platformers look beautiful but
play like death. Others play great but look dodgy. Metal Slug nails it hands down with
compelling content. |

Yukyu Gensokyoku Perpetual Collection |
Poster |
| We figured
that Final Fight Revenge would be the last Saturn console release when it
arrived earlier this year but Mediaworks takes the final word. The entire Saturn Yukyu Gensokyoku
series will be collected into one deluxe package to ship on December 7, 2000. The contents
include all five Yukyu games, a poster (look to the right) and an embossed telephone
calling card. The production is limited to 5000 units at a yen retail of JPY15000 or
roughly US$153 from NCS. Pre-orders are welcome by e-mail
request for fulfillment in December. |
