| DC Aero Dancing F: Tsubasa's First Flight |
Scans |
Battle in
the blue yonder with this new Aero Dancing F "gaiden", if you will. Network
battle against linked flyboys and ace missions with specific tasks and mini games. Once
you've participated in enough action, you have the option to watch it all over again with
the replay function which reprises your flight and antics with a variable camera that
captures your greatest moves.
Console flight simulators are an acquired taste. Those who have enjoyed the
evolution and refinement of PC flight simulators through the years won't find anything
along the lines of MPS' Falcon (don't count the poor v4.0) or the superb Jane's
F/A 18 from EA. |

| The magic of alchemy has sprouted new life in the form of an anime
homunculus, a tiny fairy which appears human. Due to her fragile nature when she first
births, you house her in an incubation chamber so that she can grow and learn under your
watchful tutelage. Similar to many growth simulations such as Princess Maker and
Marionette Company, the young charge is naive and clueless. Your task is to feed your
fairy in moderation, speak to her and teach her the ways of life. Eventually your baby
will grow up enough to leave the sustaining chamber and enter the real world. She will
also act the proper student and learn alchemy from you. |

| The premise
is simplicity itself. You, a paddle, must bat a ball at bricks. It worked back in the day
when Breakout entered the video game world and enjoyed a revitalization
when Taito unleashed Arkanoid on the coin-op market. D3's Blockbuster
game follows the tradition of the latter game and introduces a number of new
power-ups (some fairly radical and innovative) to help you clear the screen. The
playfields are also creative. We're suckers for this type of game although playing this
with a joypad isn't the most natural input device. No support is built-in for the PS
paddles (the Blockids controller) either so it's tortured fun. |

Guilty Gear X build |

An updated
preview demo of Guilty Gear X arrived this morning with three playable
characters. New levels are also available other than the ones that were included in the
Dreamcast Magazine demo. The jewel case gatefold also includes a general control scheme
and a detailed special moves list for the three characters that you can play.
The game is shaping up to be stellar and worthy of the hype that is making
the rounds. NCS expects delivery of Guilty Gear X LE on December 14, which includes a
music CD. Pre-orders are welcome and will be open until the game arrives. The demo is not
for sale. |
