Gallop Racer 2 from Tecmo places you in the drivers seat of a horse. Like any other racing game worth it's rank, GR2 offers the gamer exhilirating action as you thunder down the track in search of the winning post. When you begin the game, you'll choose from a team of three jockeys, then your desired uniform and then you're off to the horse barn to choose your vehicle of choice. Horses are rated on how they run on dirt, when it rains and their temperament, among other things. Gallop Racer 2 is good fun and the competition mode, where you race against other jockeys and their steeds, brings you into the world of racing technique, skill and you'll get to know your horse a little better.

To the right, the horses get to race down dirt tracks as a ring of trees line the background. The motions of the horse, the closeness of the other jockeys and the sound effects all help to make Gallop Racer 2 an experience unlike most other racing games. Recommended.
