| Gpara DVD Volume Zero |
Scans |
| Prior to
the launch of the industry's pioneering DVD magazine, GTV issued a primer of sorts to get
the gaming public ready for it's upcoming product. Gpara Vol. 0 engaged viewers with a
taste of 30 second game previews that weren't playable but helped to impress the look,
feel, and flavor of new games that were in the pipeline. All consoles and handhelds were
supported, including the Gameboy, complete with tinny soundtrack and monotone music. Now
that Gpara has ceased publication, NCS has located some copies of the debut volume for
collectors of curio. Orders may be placed on-line, or
for established accounts, via e-mail request. |

| It wasn't
entirely unexpected, given the dismal track record. Overnight, SNK has once again
cancelled Metal Slug X for the Playstation and the tentative release date
has shifted back to TBA from January 25, 2001. NCS will simply consider it cancelled by
default at this point and will not report any additional updates until the game actually
arrives and is on hand. |
The past couple of weeks have seen a number of quizzical happenings, product
revisions, and offerings from SNK. Taking it all in stride, day by day. |

The support from Square at the debut of the Wonderswan
Color plays a strong hand in Bandai's favor and heralds good things ahead. Things like
handheld Front Mission and the complete 8-bit/16-bit Final Fantasy games of yesteryear.
The other big guns on board include Capcom, Konami, Namco, and Sammy who will release a
handheld version of Guilty Gear in January. This WSC thing could become a monster. |
| Dreamcast Magazine Vol. 39 |
Scans |
| The latest
issue of DCM, dated 12/08, presents a glimpse of the next batch of Dreamcast games that
fans can look forward to. Gigawing 2 makes an appearance, slated for January 18, 2001 and
Dayonta USA 2001, expected on December 21, appears to be another stellar racing game from
the Sega racing team. Samba de Amigo 2000, Magic: The Gathering, and Monster Breed are
also afforded some coverage. Monster Breed was originally an expected DC launch title,
some two years ago. It returns from limbo with anime characters, back story, and a
tactical edge to the gameplay in tow. DCM is priced at $11.50. |

| Short
sentiment remains. QQQ blew through our limits on Thursday and sold out freshly cherubic
positions from Monday. Watching, but we'll use today's strength to short again. Target on
QQQ remains 50 short term. It could blow past that, hit 45 and then bounce. As usual,
positions are protected with trailing stops, limits but no opposing trade. Single minded
trading. Consensus is still out on a Santa Claus rally. Possible but unlikely? |
The single factor that makes us wary of going short at this point is the overall
sentiment. Too many morbid bears now. That usually means strength and a white knight is on
the way. |

Geo CD Console... Redux... |
Speed |
| Thanks
to everyone for the input. |
| NCS is
mulling an offer. New, unopened (you know the drill) Neo Geo CD consoles are on the table
as SNK of Japan seeks to clear inventory. Apparently, everything must go as the business
transition continue appreciated. We will formulate our plan of attack once we can gauge
the overall demand (or lack thereof) for this Neo Geo CD unit. |
Back in the day, CD-Rom drives were manufactured in one flavobut here's a chance to pick
up a Neo-CD console for posterity. |
