| Cotton
II and Sonic R joined this week's Saturn releases on
Wednesday and boosted the number of Saturnsoft to 11 new imports
for the week. Notable: Bubble Symphony, a perfect arcade port
of Taito's puzzle-action game and Blue Breaker, an RPG ported from
the PC-FX. On the Playstation we have Puyo Puyo Sun Expert and
on the N64, Wild Choppers and the
import version of Diddy Kong Racing. |

| This week's periodicals
are highlighted by a new Gamest Mook. Gamest's latest World
Series installment features professional SNK artwork as well as amateur offerings but is
mostly a collection of manga dealing with SNK's popuar characters from the King of
Fighters and Samurai Spirits video games. To the right, we have a picture from the mook -
a fine rendering of Athena from KOF'97. |
| In today's journal,
we take a look at next week's Yu-No for the Saturn and Snobo Kids for the Nintendo 64.
Snobo is a cartoony snowboarding game that gives the player unrealistic physics and snow
tricks to play around with. NCS also lists all of the stock items that are expected next
Monday. Side by Side from Taito should be a fine racing title while Dam Dam Stompland
promises interesting 3-D action and playfields. |
