tactics in battle differ from hand to hand combat. There's the obvious defensive advantage
that is gained from a sword to parry a blow or glance an oncoming strike. A weapon also
amplifies any attack with distance and edge. Fists can only pummel and tenderize, a sword
serves to eviscerate and impact death blows if necessary. One shot blow out.
All combatants in Guilty Gear X wield weapons and all of the advantages of
armed fighting hold true in this game. We've been treated to two impressive previews of
this game in the past couple of months. That was the icing. The final product that we get

Simple 1500 game puts you in the cockpit of a deft flying machine. Stop in mid-air, hurtle
forward, spin on a dime and ascend the skies with ease. Each level includes a set number
of goals, pickups and drop-offs that you'll have to complete before advancing to the next
level. Scenarios include flying inside a home, a busy metropolitan street, and a
construction area. |

| After a
couple of months of waiting, Hori appears to have scheduled the reproduction of various
Playstation and Nintendo 64 controllers for next week. Confirmed are the Dual Shock
joysticks, analog sticks, and the Nintendo pads. The Dual Shock joystick fills an obvious
void for quality Playstation sticks. Missing items include the fishing controller, the
Dual Shock pads, and assorted items that didn't look like they would sell very well in any
case. A full listing will be posted when the stock arrives and is added to general NCS
inventory. |
Supply follows demand. The purpose of the Hori offer from a couple of
months ago was to address what appeared to be open demand for various controllers. The DS
joystick for PS was a hit but many were misses and will not be produced.. |
