New imports arrive and Dreamcast confirmations

-
Import Gaming
A shipment of "missing" Saturn stock was finally delivered last Friday, late in the afternoon. This carton has probably travelled around the Southeast United States for more miles than it's original transit across the Pacific. Another shipment of Saturn imports is expected tomorrow if there are no further delays.
Guyferd Capcom US$49
Shes'n Kid US$60
Street Fighter Zero 2 Capcom US$33
Two new Playstation imports today. Another shipment is expected tomorrow, again, if there are no further delays to hamper our plans.
Bomberman Hudson US$53
Kiwame Mahjong Plus 2 Athena US$49
NCS is now confirming and accepting pre-orders for a Dreamcast shipment that is due next Monday. We now require that the customer pre-pay the full amount of the order by credit card or by secured instrument such as a money order when confirming the reservation. If you decide not to take the order next week, NCS will refund the amount in total with no charges to you. The purpose of the pre-payment is to have some sort of guaranteed shipping schedule for immediate dispatch next Monday. The holidays always get a little harried and we prefer to prepare for the madness this week instead of next Monday morning. The quantity of Dreamcast units being brought in will be much, much larger than past shipments and time will be critical in order for us to dispatch everything on the same day. I.e, credit cards and payments will be out of the way and everything can be packed and shipped once the stock is available. Pre-payment will also allow NCS to prepare all of our shipping logs and airway bills this week instead of waiting to do everything next Monday. New DC console and package prices are listed below for the next shipment that is due on 12/21:
Dreamcast console US$475
Dreamcast with any one game US$535
Dreamcast with any two games US$595
In addition to Godzilla Generations, July, Pen Pen Tricelon, and Virtua Fighter 3tb, customers may also choose from Sonic Adventure, Seventh Cross or Tetris 4D for their choice of game(s). Incoming appears to be delayed until January 1999. All three new Dreamcast titles are due to arrive with the new DC shipment on December 21.
Many customers on our reservation lists appear to want to wait until DC prices are more reasonable. As such, our previous contacting of customers on our listings has been inefficient. If you wish to place an order for a Dreamcast that is guaranteed to ship next Monday at the prices listed above, please contact us this week, preferably today or tomorrow to reserve a unit.
Pre-order by simply e-mailing NCS with your name, address, telephone number and a brief message. Orders may also be placed by dialing (718) 523-5774 or faxing (718) 523-7069.

Candy Toy for Monday

The KOF '98 Voice Clocks featuring either Iori or Kyo appear to be scheduled for tomorrow. The recent spate of shipping delays have been quite the pain and we're not sure how we should deal with them. On one hand, we have no control over the various contingencies that can hamper an import shipment such as airline delays or Customs processing. On the other hand, we are paying hefty shipping premiums so that we can receive stock from Japan and Asia in an quick and efficient manner. That simply has not been happening with a number of shipments in the past couple of weeks.
Dreamcast Fan and Dreamcast Magazine have made their respective debuts in Japan. Dreamcast Magazine is now up to issue #4 with issue #5 hitting Japanese shops on the 18th. Where, you ask, is NCS' shipments of these magazines? We can only sigh, look up to the skies and point to shipping delays and misdelivered packages. It is unclear what UPS' policy on misdelivered packages is, where a number of our cartons are accidentally delivered to another business on the other side of town. If they are retrievable, we will have DC Magazne Vol. 01, 02, and 03 as well as Dreamcast Fan Vol. 01 but if they are unretrievable, we will try to re-order them from Japan before the magazines are sold out.
Starting on December 23, many of our suppliers in Japan and Asia will be taking a 1 week vacation that will last into the new year. No new shipments are expected during that time, which is why NCS will be stocking up on additional quantities of Ehrgeiz and Street Fighter Zero 3 to meet orders during the Japanese vacation period.
When NCS is not speaking to suppliers and gathering information on the import scene, we trade the stock market, particularly the S&P500 futures contract. This is also one way to fill up space in today's update. There is selling pressure this morning but the main support level (1150) on the S&P500 index have not been broken. We trade on these levels and if support is not violated, we look for a mild rally in the afternoon with an upper resistance level of S&P 1174 to 1180. We also look for the Nasdaq to go positive in the afternoon. Watch the futures pits in Chicago for general direction.
