Initial Dreamcast orders ship today, Minor Sonic delay

-
Dreamcast Gaming Page updated at 09:20AM
Partial Dreamcast shipments arrived this morning and will begin shipping to our customers. The rest of the consoles are expected tomorrow and all remaining orders will see dispatch on Tuesday. We ask that customers trust our shipping schedule and that we have everyone's best interests at heart. Our lives this week will be all Dreamcast and making sure that the DCs reach their destinations in good form. We will work tirelessly today and tomorrow to see that all consoles are tested, dispatched and received before Christmas. Again, we ask that our customers trust our judgement and leave the arrangements to us. ( Hint: We ask ye gentle folk to not flood our phones )
Sonic Adventure was delayed by Sega for one day. Distributors in Japan received it last night. Major headache but it will still arrive this week. It now appears that we will have Sonic Adventure on Wednesday and we'll dispatch all Sonic orders on that day. There is a very good chance that it will arrive tomorrow but we like to have some "expectations" leeway just in case it is late. In the meantime, NCS will ship out Dreamcast console orders today because we do not want to delay anything because of one game. Those DC orders that included Sonic Adventure as one of the choices of games will have Sonic Adventure shipped to them, free of charge, by NCS with Express Mail overnight service so that you can expect it by Thursday or Friday. Consider it our Christmas gift to the hundreds of customers who have purchased a Dreamcast (+ Sonic) from our company. If you have ordered a Dreamcast with only Sonic, then please allow us to ship your order on Tuesday or Wednesday since we will not have Sonic until then.
A confirmed schedule of Dreamcast games shipping in January was received overnight. Feel free to place pre-orders for any of the titles listed below. NCS will be able to accept pre-orders up until the release dates since our sourcing of quantities will be large. We have stores, mail order companies, fellow distributors and retail customers to answer to...
Sega Rally 2 Racing 01/13/99
DC Racing Wheel Accessory 01/14/99
Sengoku Turb RPG 01/14/99
Evolution RPG 01/20/99
Blue Stinger is expected sometime in March of 99. Additional titles will be added to this list when we receive confirmed listings. Please note that there is a difference between a game that has been announced and one that is confirmed. The confirmed game has an actual ship date and is on actual pre-order schedules from distribution houses in Japan and Asia where deposits are required. NCS will wire our 30% deposits for all of our orders this week.
Import Gaming / Everything Else
Ridge Racer Type 4 + Jogcon has been restocked today at the standard price of US$85. Regular editions of R4 are still in stock at US$51. This shipment of R4 + Jogcon appears to be the last one that we will receive for at least another month due to the upcoming holiday in Japan and Namco's underproduction of the item.
A special boxed edition of Ehrgeiz that includes a t-shirt and a greeting card arrived today. This package was only released in Asia and is available for shipping today at US$68.
Our shipments of Dreamcast and Pokemon keychains are expected this week. We have everyone's order on hand and will dispatch once we take delivery.
King of Fighters 98 (US$65) for the Neo Geo CD is expected on Wednesday. If it does not make the early flight out of Japan tomorrow, then we will have to take delivery next week. The regular CD includes a mini CD-jewel case sized calender. A limited edition box set is also expected (US$95) which ships in a beautifully appointed wooden box bearing the KOF '98 logo and includes a number of little extras such as a KOF '98 t-shirt, a special music CD and a 1999 calender. NCS will likely only be able to source 20 pieces of the limited edition boxes. Feel free to place pre-orders for either version today. Customers who have placed reservations already will have their orders shipped automatically as soon as we take delivery of the game.
The Clinton impeachment may knock the market down today and if it does trend down, NCS looks for a quick and nasty sell-off. However, remember it is the holiday season and sentiment is usually not on the sell side this week. If the market does tank and hits our levels of S&P500 at ~1155 or the Dow at ~8777, we will buy S&P500 futures aggressively. Very aggressively. The Clinton impeachment, while serious, will never come to fruition. The Republicans have grasped it as their football and are hoping for a touchdown. However, the process will lose steam and die at the footsteps of the Senate. The reversal will be stunning and Clinton will again emerge triumphant. If we were in Las Vegas and had access to the bookies who take this kind of action, we would bet the bank against the impeachment. The odds appear even and we love this type of wager. We're not in Vegas however so we're using the capital markets to make our speculative attack on the outcome. Slick Willy is forged of teflon and we won't bet against him or his administration, not now at least. Its also wise to stay away from betting against the powers that be.
