Wow. That didn't take long. Sega has a new water bike racing game that looks very similar to Nintendo's Wave Race. The arcade machine is modeled like Sega's motorcycle cabinets and allows players to experience the motion of being on the waves with its hydraulic mechanism which pumps up and down and rocks left and right. The backgrounds are a lot more detailed than Wave Race (granted the arcade game is using hundred of megs of ram) but notice how well Wave Race holds up in the main character graphics and the scenery in general. This should be a testament to the N64s graphical prowess. Wave Runner is available in Japanese arcades now.
